I find that the characters at Live Action Role Playing events often are incredibly detailed. People tend to write long histories around their characters, which makes them anything but simple. Since the first impression of anyone is usually set by their appearance, this implies that people also spend a lot of time in designing their costumes, most of which are completely designed and created by their owners themselves. Some of the costumes took years to gather, build and perfect.

This is one of the reasons why I usually lug a portable studio to places in the middle of next to nowhere just to be able to capture these costumes. The result of this you can find in the various photoshoot sets in my LARP collection.
